Damage to frozen embryos in Ohio spurs lawsuits

Couples have begun filing lawsuits seeking class status against an Ohio fertility clinic after the facility notified them that a temperature-control issue left their frozen embryos unviable; a liquid nitrogen problem has also led to a similar issue at a San Francisco clinic. More than 1 million frozen embryos are estimated to exist nationwide, with regulations of fertility clinics varying from state to state.
