EEOC sues company that refused telecommute request

North Carolina-based Advanced Home Care violated the Americans with Disabilities Act when it refused to allow a call center employee to work from home to avoid odors that aggravated her respiratory conditions, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission says in a lawsuit. Although telecommuting is not automatically a required ADA accommodation, the EEOC says companies must at least seriously consider such arrangements.
