A Portland, Maine, dairy company has reached a $5 million settlement with truck drivers in a lawsuit concerning how the punctuation in a state law made their eligibility for overtime pay unclear. Legislators have since amended the 1995 law, which was called into question for its lack of an Oxford comma, and used a series of semicolons instead in hopes of avoiding ambiguity.
