Cladding in London tower fire banned for tall buildings in US

The cladding on the London tower that burned this week, killing at least 30 people and possibly as many as 100, is banned in the US for buildings taller than 40 feet "because of the fire and smoke spread." A fire-resistant form of the aluminum panels could have been used on the building for about $6,400 more.
