Long-term use of proton pump inhibitors was not linked to a higher risk of hip fracture in Alzheimer's disease patients, a study in Alimentary Pharmacology & Therapeutics showed. Researchers did find a link between higher hip fracture risk and current PPI use lasting less than a year.
