DrFirst surveyed 109 health care professionals and found that only 29% of specialty care respondents, such as endocrinologists and cardiologists, have implemented a comprehensive disaster recovery plan both inside and outside their organization, compared with 72% of acute care respondents. Only 40% of respondents believed their EHR/EMR systems are capable of taking care of all their patients during a disaster, whereas only 27% expressed confidence in their organization's telehealth capabilities.
