Increased physical activity plus less sedentary time led to cardiovascular biomarker improvements in adults ages 60 to 64, researchers reported in the Journal of the American Heart Association. Biomarker improvements varied by gender and included C-reactive protein, interleukin-6, tissue plasminogen activator, leptin and fat mass.
