The Indiana University Center for Aging Research and the Regenstrief Institute are enrolling 300 older ICU survivors in a test using telemedicine to treat ongoing effects of delirium after hospital discharge. The program will include facilitator-led cognitive and physical exercise in one-on-one or small group settings, and researcher Dr. Babar Khan said the goal is to see improved functioning and quality of life and decreases in dementia, anxiety and depressive symptoms.
