Caregivers can be challenged by behavior changes in elderly

Caregivers and family can find it difficult to deal with behavior changes in elderly adults, which can be related to dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Psychologist Paul Chafetz says it is important to respect an older person's autonomy, respond with empathy, ignore harmless behaviors and use a "therapeutic fib" when necessary.
