Senate banking committee Chairman Mike Crapo, R-Idaho, has called on the panel to work toward bipartisan, commonsense financial regulation, casting doubt on the success of the Financial CHOICE Act from House Financial Services Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling, R-Texas. "My goal this Congress is to work in a bipartisan manner with members of the Senate banking committee, the administration, with Chairman Hensarling and with the regulators to strike a smart balance with thoughtful regulation that promotes economic growth," Crapo said.
