An Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research survey found 35% of US adults under the age of 40 have been a caregiver for an older relative or friend while 34% expect to do so within five years. Most caregivers said they receive most or all of the support they need, but 45% of younger caregivers were more likely to turn to social media for some support, compared with 25% of older caregivers.
