Tift Regional Health System in Georgia has used telehealth since 2005 but its collaboration with the Global Partnership for Telehealth has allowed it to expand services, including advanced critical care. Telehealth director Dr. Jeff Robbins said telemedicine has led to faster diagnoses and treatments and improved health outcomes and costs, and the advanced ICU support has reduced mortality, costs and complications.
