Studies presented at the American Society for Nutrition conference found inverse associations between low-fat, fermented dairy product consumption and colorectal cancer, coffee consumption and liver disease, egg consumption and blood glucose levels and mushroom consumption and inflammation. Researchers did not find the same effects with high-fat dairy and nonfermented dairy consumption.
