The Massachusetts Department of Transportation is expected to submit environmental and construction plans soon for a project to upgrade the Massachusetts Turnpike's Allston Interchange. The project, which could cost as much as $1.2 billion, would straighten the roadway, reconfigure access roads and ramps, and build another commuter rail station.
