Bipartisan legislation aimed at stopping the illegal importation of fentanyl and other synthetic opioids into the US was signed into law by President Donald Trump on Wednesday. The INTERDICT Act includes approximately $9 million for additional chemical screening devices to detect drugs at ports of entry and in the mail, as well as staff to oversee the technology.
