Researchers from the University of Phoenix College of Health Professions surveyed about 500 registered nurses and administrative staff in the US and found that 20% of RNs and 19% of administrative staff said their organization has experienced a data breach. However, only one-quarter of RNs said their companies had made changes in the management of patient privacy and data security in the past year.
