Minimal exercise can help reduce weight gain after women quit smoking

A study in Menopause of data from over 4,700 postmenopausal female smokers tracked for three years found that even a minimal amount of physical activity helped combat weight gain for those who quit smoking. Researchers found that women who quit smoking, adopted healthier eating habits and took up exercise gained only slightly more weight than women who continued smoking.
