More California kindergartners received medical exemptions from vaccines after the state changed the law to eliminate personal-belief exemptions, per a study led by health geographer Paul Delamater of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. However, the overall exemption rate fell from 2.54% to 1.06%.
