On Saturday, July 14, the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA) will be hosting a meeting about the Veterinary Nurse Initiative at AVMA Convention 2018. While the briefing is directed to association leaders, the event is open to all convention attendees and stakeholder veterinary associations. The Veterinary Nurse Initiative is a coalition formed by NAVTA to pursue the establishment of Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) title for all credentialed veterinary technicians in the United States. The strategic plan of implementation of the initiative will be discussed from the perspective of associations and what it means for the field. Visit the AVMA website to learn more about the NAVTA Veterinary Nurse Initiative meeting.
