About 15 animals died in a fire at the Little Ponderosa Zoo in Clinton, Tenn., but owner James Cox, zoo staff and a great Pyrenees dog named Charlie prevented greater loss of life when they ran into the flaming barn and pulled out as many animals as they could. The zoo is asking for donations of food, bedding materials, office supplies and other items, and Cox says he hopes to reopen next year.
