Sealife Response, Rehabilitation, and Research will open a multipool facility at the Sarvey Wildlife Care Center in Arlington, Wash., to study and care for marine wildlife, enabling the rehabilitation of 50 to 75 marine creatures each year. Started by former Seattle Aquarium head veterinarian Lesanna Lahner, SR3 staff rescue and rehabilitate sea lions, turtles, whales, otters, orcas and other marine wildlife, and they study marine wildlife for environmental indicators, such as rising levels of pollutants, that can affect people.
