A Medical Group Management Association poll found that 47% of medical practice leaders thought staff members should receive additional customer service training, and many wanted more training in regulatory and revenue-cycle issues and leadership. Customer service is the responsibility of every single person in the practice, said MGMA principle consultant Ken Hertz, and should be an element in annual reviews.
