The American Academy of Pediatrics released an update of its guidelines in Pediatrics for pediatric prenatal visits during the third trimester to establish a relationship between pediatricians and parents. The guidance calls for making the prenatal visits routine; advocating to payers about the short- and long-term benefits of visits; and sharing established practices with other health care providers.
