Boston Consulting Group studied at 350 companies that went through the mentorship program MassChallenge and found that on average, companies with at least one woman founder raised $935,000 in venture capital, while those founded solely by men raised $2.12 million. However, women-led startups generated an average of 78 cents in revenue for every venture capital dollar, while the comparable figure for startups led by men was 31 cents.
