A bill that would change the ways excise taxes apply to makers of alcoholic drinks has been added as an amendment to the federal tax cut bill being debated in the US Senate. One change included in the measure is to expand to all wineries a tax credit that currently applies only to those making less than 250,000 gallons per year.
