Beer sales up, wine and liquor struggle for Constellation Brands

Strong activity over the Labor Day and Thanksgiving holidays boosted net beer sales for Constellation Brands by 7.8% during its most recent quarter, led by Corona Extra and Modelo Especial. However, net sales of spirits and wine were down 10.3% over the period, largely due to bad weather and the company's decision to divest its Canadian wine unit.
