New tariffs on aluminum and steel imposed by the US on Canada, Mexico and the EU will cost the beer industry a projected $347 million, the Beer Institute reports. During a series of congressional office visits last week on the matter, Brewers Association CEO Bob Pease said there was "not a lot of support expressed for the imposition of tariffs."
