Google on Tuesday detailed its internally designed Pixel Visual Core system-on-a-chip, which works with the camera in the company's new Pixel 2 smartphone model. Google's move into designing chips for its consumer products, just as Apple and Samsung Electronics do, could prove an issue for Qualcomm, which supplies the Snapdragon application processors used in Google's phones.
