Proper hand hygiene is crucial, and Amy Milshtein weighs the pros and cons of two main types of soap dispensers: bulk and closed cartridge. Bulk dispensers are cost-effective and environmentally friendly, but they can become breeding grounds for bacteria, potentially transferring contaminants to hands even after washing, experts say. For this reason "they do require additional maintenance activities and practices," says Shari Solomon, president of CleanHealth Environmental.

The Senate rejected the National Labor Relations Board's joint-employer rule in a 50-48 vote on a Congressional Review Act resolution on Wednesday. The resolution now goes to President Joe Biden, who has threatened to veto it.

Maximum workers' compensation benefits in Kansas will rise from $155,000 to $400,000 for permanent total disability and from $130,000 to $225,000 for temporary total, permanent partial and temporary partial disability under a bill signed by Gov. Laura Kelly. The legislation also tightens the criteria for injured workers to continue receiving care after they reach maximum medical improvement.
