Airlines for America, the Air Line Pilots Association and the National Air Traffic Controllers Association have sent a letter to Congress urging lawmakers to allow the Federal Aviation Administration to regulate small, recreational drones, which it is prohibited from doing. "The restriction by Congress has limited the FAA's ability to fully regulate model and hobby UAS to the point that safety of the national airspace is at risk," said the letter, signed by A4A President and CEO Nick Calio, ALPA president Tim Canoll and NATCA president Paul Rinaldi.
