- Nestle boosts focus on Chinese R&D
Nestle plans to double its research capacity in China with two research and development centers, which will create products that appeal to Chinese tastes. The company has had a presence in China since 1874, and it has 47,000 employees there. However, domestic companies have a better understanding of what Chinese consumers want, challenging Nestle. Nestle Waters North America taps Canada chief for top job: Tim Brown, most recently president and CEO of Nestle Waters Canada, has been named president and CEO of Nestle Waters North America, effective Feb. 1. Halloween Confectionery Consumption webinar scheduled
On Thursday, Nov. 29 NCA will host the 2012 Halloween Confectionery Consumption Overview at 1 p.m. The complimentary webinar will examine seasonal retail sales numbers and share trends on how merchandising and promotion can contribute to overall retail sales growth across some of confectionery’s largest distribution channels.
