Starbucks is charging $7 per 16-ounce cup for its new Costa Rica Finca Palmilera, made from a difficult-to-grow varietal called Geisha. Procter & Gamble has pioneered sachets that purify 10 liters of water in 20 minutes, at a cost of three and a half cents per packet. The company is working with humanitarian groups, including World Vision, Care and Save the Children, to deliver the sachets to communities where poor water quality is linked to illness and death. - Report finds social media relationships boost buying
Some 70% of social media users who interacted with brands ended up making a purchase as a result, and 61% say they consider the brands they're connected to first when looking to buy, according to a study from SocialVibe.
