    Advanced Micro Devices is debuting new A-series laptop chips, called "Richland," that it says support video mirroring and gesture-recognition features and offer a 20% to 40% performance improvement over its "Trinity" chips.   • SMBs favor VARs for high-end networking equipment
    Data show sales of IT equipment will remain relatively sluggish this year, but value-added resellers can expect to capture a larger share of the high-end networking and communications market, according to Stephen Baker, an analyst with NPD Group.     Health IT deployments are being hindered by a shortage of tech skills, a PricewaterhouseCoopers report says.
