A pilot programme to teach Hul'qami'num in elementary schools in British Columbia has grown so popular that educators have adopted technology to expand its reach. Students now can use an iPad to access an iBook that shows students the Hul'qami'num word associated with various images.

Does Montessori education improve outcomes?
Two recent studies consider whether a Montessori education is more beneficial to students than a traditional education. Overall, the studies of students in Connecticut and the Netherlands show that the approach may benefit preschool students more than high-school students.

Indian state adopts compulsory language requirement
A state in India will require that students learn the Kannada language in school beginning in the 2018-19 school year. The lessons will be mandatory beginning in Year 1, and students will be tested in Year 4.
