Pilot will re-create Lindbergh's 1927 flight in electric plane

Pilot Chip Yates, a pioneer in electric motorcycles, is planning to re-create Charles Lindbergh's 1927 trans-Atlantic flight in an electric plane. Yates is planning to undertake the flight in 2014 through his company, Flight of the Century. He is planning on using unmanned aerial vehicles to refuel during the 3,600-mile trip.
