EIA raises forecasts for oil prices - MarketWatch

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- The Energy Information Administration raised its forecasts for this winter's oil price Tuesday, saying it will average at $77 a barrel during the period from October to March, up $7 a barrel from earlier forecasts a month ago. Heating oil prices will average at $1,940 a gallon this winter, up from last year's $1,864. Natural gas prices will stand at $4.22 per thousand cubic feet in November on average, more than $2.60 lower than last year, the EIA said.
