Next for Wi-Fi: High-speed device connectivity
The Wi-Fi Alliance has begun working on a certification program that will enable devices, such as a set-top box or video game, to connect with each other through 802.11 technology, the group said. The high-speed transfer would also allow users to share photos from mobile phones or send an image from a handset to a projector for display.
