Study suggests data caps will hit smartphone vendors
If wireless carriers implement bandwidth-metering, smartphone providers that deliver more content-heavy devices will suffer more than those -- such as Research in Motion's BlackBerry phones -- that are relatively efficient because of their ability to compress information such as e-mail messages, according to a report from the industry house Canaccord Adams.
