Deal For Lifetime Boosts Disney, Hearst Stake In A&E Network
Walt Disney and Hearst will gain a stronger grip on the three most-watched cable networks with the merger of A&E Television Networks and Lifetime Entertainment Services, reports The Wall Street Journal. Disney, Hearst and NBC Universal own A&E and its sister networks, while Disney and Hearst own half of Lifetime, the new home of the popular "Project Runway."
