Yang resigns as CEO, setting Yahoo! adrift

Yahoo!'s Jerry Yang has agreed to step down as CEO of the Internet giant, a company he founded as a Stanford student in 1994. Shareholders blame him for standing in the way of Microsoft's effort to buy the company for $33 a share. Yahoo! closed at less than $11 Monday.
