A&E Television Networks to acquire Lifetime channels

A&E Television Networks -- a company jointly owned by Walt Disney Co., Hearst Corp. and NBC Universal -- will acquire the assets of Lifetime Entertainment Services for an undisclosed sum. The deal, expected to close later this year, will consolidate cable networks such as A&E, History, Lifetime and Bio.
