Candy companies merge to become Ferrara Candy

Ferrara Pan Candy, based in Illinois, is merging with Minnesota-based Farley's & Sathers Candy to create a combined company called Ferrara Candy, to be led by Salvatore Ferrara II, chairman and CEO of Ferrara Pan. "This transaction brings together two well-positioned candy companies with iconic brands and loyal consumer and customer followings to create a category leader," Ferrara said in a statement.
