MILAN -- The Board of Directors of FASTWEB S.p.A. (Milan, MTAX: FWB) today approved the financial results for the nine months to 30 September 2009. The total number of clients as of 30 September 2009 was 1,605,200, an 8% increase from 1,482,500 at the end of 2008. Since the Italian market grew by an estimated 7% over the same period, FASTWEB was able to further increase its market share.

FastWeb delivers on its name and a lot more. The leading alternative fixed-line broadband telecom services provider in the country (after incumbent carrier Telecom Italia), the company provides more than 1 million consumer and enterprise customers in Italy with voice, data, and video service.
