Seven days a week, SUNDAY Communications provides mobile phone service to the people of Hong Kong. With more than 660,000 subscribers, SUNDAY is the smallest of six players in Hong Kong's wireless market. The company's employs digital GSM (global system for mobile communications) network technology. The company's Internet portal, sunday.com, is tailored to mobile devices. SUNDAY is also a fixed-line ISP and provides international long-distance service. Formed in 1994, the firm launched operations in 1997. In 2005 PCCW , Hong Kong's biggest fixed-line operator, announced plans to acquire SUNDAY for about $200 million.
