Once the automotive component arm of titanic German industrial conglomerate Siemens AG, VDO Automotive (formerly Siemens VDO Automotive) is now part of Continental AG. VDO makes carbody electronics systems (access control, battery and engine management), chassis systems (electric motor drives, power steering, washer systems), driver infotainment systems (GPS navigation), interior (cockpit modules), powertrain components (air fuel modules, engine control), and safety systems (smart air bags, braking, tire inflation).
