Tasman Networks makes routers for services aggregation and scalable network access. Products include multi-scalable routers, mutimegabit routers, and aggregation edge routers. Backers include New Enterprise Associates and Mayfield Fund. Tasman has a software development center in Bangalore, India, in addition to its Silicon Valley headquarters. Nortel Networks has agreed to acquire Tasman Networks for about $99 million in cash. The deal is set to close in the first quarter of 2006.
