Casabyte makes and sells testing systems used by wireless service providers to monitor the quality and availability of service on their networks. Its RCATS and RoamerNet systems provide automated monitoring of voice, data, and messaging features, as well as outbound roaming, on both GSM and CDMA networks. Mobile providers can either purchase and operate the systems themselves or subscribe to a managed service operated by Casabyte. Founded in 1996, the company has served such customers as Cingular Wireless and T-Mobile. It received venture backing from Spencer Trask Ventures. JDS Uniphase has acquired Casabyte, making the firm part of its Communications Test & Measurement segment.
