MobilePro has slimmed down, divesting its telecommunications and broadband businesses. The company is left with a subsidiary called ProGames Network, which is developing online gaming products. In 2007 MobilePro agreed to merge ProGames with Winning Edge International, a sports handicapping firm, with ProGames owning more than 80% of the combined company. The deal fell apart, however, due to a lack of financing. MobilePro is considering strategic alternatives in order to maximize shareholder value. The company is vague on what forms those alternatives may take, but says its goals are to eliminate debt and to return value to shareholders.
