Nokia raises outlook despite missing forecasts:
Despite missing Wall Street's third-quarter forecasts, Nokia issued a more upbeat assessment of the mobile-phone business for the remainder of the year, saying industry shipments will fall 7% compared with the previous 10% assessment. "The demand for mobile devices improved in many markets during Q3," said Nokia Chief Executive Officer Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, who noted that high-end devices appeared to be especially popular among consumers.
