Carphone may bid for AOL's U.K. arm
Carphone Warehouse, Europe's largest mobile phone retailer, reportedly is interested in buying AOL's U.K. business, a move that would help it further expand into broadband. The AOL unit has about 2.2 million customers and could fetch more than $1.8 billion, according to some estimates.
